SugarCRM Positioned as Visionary in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation

CUPERTINO, Calif. – July 25, 2013 – SugarCRM, the company that makes every user a customer expert, today announced that it has been positioned as a “Visionary” in the Gartner 2013 “Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation.[1]”

“SugarCRM delivers innovative solutions to help turn our customers into customer experts at every point of engagement,” said Larry Augustin, CEO of SugarCRM. “Traditional CRM software was developed largely for the needs of the corporation. Sugar instead focuses on the needs of the real constituents of CRM: the customer and the user.  Sugar enables its users to understand each customer as a unique individual, and create the expertise needed to drive a superior experience every time they engage with their customers. The result is higher customer lifetime value and sales growth. We believe Gartner’s recognition of SugarCRM as a ‘Visionary’ is further validation of our unique ability in today’s market to deliver tomorrow’s solution for CRM.”

According to the report, “Visionaries are ahead of most potential competitors in delivering innovative products and/or delivery models. They anticipate emerging/changing sales needs, and move the market ahead into areas where it hasn't yet been.[2]”

SugarCRM has shown great improvement moving into this year’s Visionaries Quadrant.  The company continues to gain upward momentum fueled by innovation in its user experience (UX) design, CRM-integrated social collaboration platform, and integrated mobile solution, as well as increasing global customer traction. Sugar’s global subscriber seats doubled in 2012 as the company continues to build traction in the global mid-and enterprise markets.

SugarCRM Unveils New Could Deployment Option

At last week's SugarCon event in New York, SugarCRM announced a new deployment option. Customers will now have the option to choose services that can be distributed and made available through a private cloud option, and this will be managed by the Sugar team.

Total data isolation, dedicated resources and support for automatic or scheduled updates are included in the new Private Cloud deployment option.  It will also be possible to migrate between cloud and on-premise locations, as required by the user. Countries such as Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Japan, Singapore and the U.S. will make the Private Cloud option available to users.

The CPO at SugarCRM, Lila Tretikov, said: “Sugar Private Cloud gives our customers an opportunity to get the best of both worlds – a fully managed CRM service with the location, access, and service levels they choose. By leveraging on-demand cloud services without giving up control of their mission-critical data, performance, and security requirements, organizations can work at the speed of business across the world, and deliver a superior end-user experience globally.”

Users who subscribe to the Sugar Private Cloud, will be able to use a service that will allow them to choose the delivery model most suitable for their requirements and adapt the chosen delivery model as those needs change. This new delivery model joins the SugarCRM On-Demand Multitenant service and SugarCRM On-Site.
