Furniture store turns to Allegro to rescue a Progress conversion project
An in-store COBOL system was partially converted to Progress by small vendor before store turned to Allegro to rescue the project and complete the work.
A furniture store chain in western Virginia used an old Titan system for its back office accounting functions. A small vendor developed the client's in-store systems, which had been running on COBOL for more than 15 years. The vendor made a good technology choice when they decided to convert it to Progress, but was not knowledgeable in the new database and programming language.

With only a partially successful conversion project dragging on, the client knew they needed a new technology partner to successfully deliver their new application.
