"He [Jim Rossi, Allegro's support manager] was awesome. He helped me out a ton and was very kind. The advice that he gave me worked perfectly and I know my system is running just as it should be."

Migration lower costs, boosts security
Allegro moved client to Progress version 10 and RedHat Linux for lower support costs and productivity boost.

We moved our client off an old Progress application (original Progress v6 application recompiled for v8.3b) from HP-UX server (circa 1995) to brand new Dell RedHat ES3.0 Progress v 10. As a result, the client now has much lower support costs for the hardware and operating system, as well as contracts in place to reduce costly downtime.

More important, our client has seen an increase in network performance and productivity. By moving to version 10, the client is now in a more secure, stable environment due to its (version 10) language features and database enhancements.
