Furniture store turns to Allegro to rescue a Progress conversion project
An in-store COBOL system was partially converted to Progress by small vendor before store turned to Allegro to rescue the project and complete the work.
A furniture store chain in western Virginia used an old Titan system for its back office accounting functions. A small vendor developed the client's in-store systems, which had been running on COBOL for more than 15 years. The vendor made a good technology choice when they decided to convert it to Progress, but was not knowledgeable in the new database and programming language.

With only a partially successful conversion project dragging on, the client knew they needed a new technology partner to successfully deliver their new application. The client chose Allegro because of its reputation from leading four Progress User Groups and the depth of knowledge displayed by its team.
