Staff

Allegro consists of a staff of more than 30 technical professionals: experts in their own areas of programming, administration and project management. Relying one another as experts in each person's domain, every one of our staff has tremendous resources to answer even the toughest questions and provide industry-leading responsiveness.

The technical staff is supported by a great administrative staff and led by our executive staff:
Doug Lucy, President
Doug Lucy is the founder and leader of Allegro. He has 25 years experience in programming, system administration, technical analysis and system integration. As the president and vice president of Sales and Marketing, he is the primary contact for many of our customers and is ultimately responsible for our high quality customer service and reliability. Mr. Lucy also runs the Progress users groups for Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina and Central Florida. As a strong Progress advocate, he is actively involved in the Progress community and helps clients interface with Progress corporate. Mr. Lucy is a frequent contributor to White Star's Progressions, the only Progress-specific technical journal. He is certified in Sun Solaris, Hewlett-Packard HP-UX and IBM AIX system administration. Also Mr. Lucy is a High Availability Clusters for Progress instructor, a member of the Virginia Council of CEOs, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Progress E-Mail Group (PEG).
Matt Stone, V.P. Professional Services
Matt Stone is responsible for most of our operating system, database and security administration efforts. He helps Allegro and clients alike troubleshoot problems, maintain high performance databases, as well as prevent intruders from putting critical systems at risk. Matt is an expert at database and OS performance tuning under Windows server and Unix environments, and is an IBM Certified Specialist for P-series 5L v5.2. He leads our data conversion, disaster recovery, beta testing, ActiveX, .Net and osCommerce efforts. He is also a member of the Progress E-mail Group (PEG).

Starting in Progress version 3.2, Mike has worked with projects in locations ranging from the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol Building to manufacturing shops all over the North American continent. He is our primary trainer for 4GL programming, WebSpeed programming, structured development, software configuration management and project management.
